Bratislava Breaks Into Top 100 'Livable Cities' Club - BusinessWeek
Bratislava, April 17, 2007 (Bratislava-City.sk) - Bratislava took the 99th place in a global ranking of the most livable cities in the world according to a survey of expatriate executives carried out by Mercer Human Resource Consulting and published by BusinessWeek.
In the previous year's survey, Bratislava ranked 102nd.
The ranking reflects 39 quality-of-life issues concerning expat executives and their families, such as political stability, currency exchange regulations, school quality, housing, environment and public safety. The data were collected between September and November 2006 and Mercer looked at a total of 215 cities.
The first three spots in the 2007 rankings were unchanged from 2006, with Switzerland's Zurich leading the pack, followed by Geneva. Vancouver in Canada and Vienna, Austria tied for the third post.
Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic was ranked 72nd, the capital of Hungary Budapest 74th.

this is great information for me that my husband and I are planning to work in Bratislava and eventually bring along our two children to live with us once we got the chance to be stable in this country.
