I visited the Sheraton to review it to be able to better describe it to our visitors. The hotel was a plesant surprise - tasteful and appealing looking through and through. I loved the common areas - the bar, club, restaurant, lobby are all inviting, with quality deisgn and good materials.
The friendly staff are predominantly Slovak but mostly with international experience.
The rooms and bathrooms were of impressive sizes and the rooms were furnished impeccably in terms of looks and comfort - large sofas or armchairs, several desks, many lamps. All bathrooms had both a shower cabin with a "rain" overhead shower and a bathtub.
If I were to nit-pick, I would question the paid Internet policy (though free internet connection and computers are provided at a common room), the "parquet" floors in rooms, which to my (untrained) eye did not seem made of wood but laminate.
After the remainder of the new Eurovea development opens in late March 2010, the new Bratislava Sheraton should be a great place to stay, if you or your company can afford it.
